aos Pueblo Painted Stories

Taos Pueblo artist Jonathan Warm Day depicts scenes from Pueblo life drawn from his many childhood memories, following his people through the four seasons in story and art. His intricate and brilliantly colored original paintings illuminate the gentle textual passages that describe a culture

with traditions and customs now part of the heritage of the Natives of Taos. Working in a colorful representational style reminiscent of the Taos masters of the last century, Warm Day is the only living painter from Taos Pueblo actively working. He is also the first contemporary painter from the pueblo to have his work published in book form. Warm Day, who is also a storyteller, is currently represented by Blue Moon Gallery in Taos.
